Licences and Ratings
A person shall not perform any duty or exercise any function for which a licence or rating is required under the Fiji Air Navigation Regulations unless being the holder of an appropriate, valid and current licence, or rating authorising the person to perform that duty or exercise that function.
CAAF may, in accordance with the provisions of the Fiji Air Navigation Regulations, grant or renew the licences and ratings specified subject to such conditions as it thinks fit, and policies and procedures of the CAAF Standards Documents.
This includes being satisfied that an applicant is a fit and proper person to hold the licence or rating applied for or renewed, being satisfied that the applicant demonstrates qualification by reason of knowledge, experience, competence, skill and being satisfied that the applicant is physically and mentally fit to act in the capacity to which the licence or the rating relates.
