Be Aware

There are strict requirements for passengers carrying powders, liquids, aerosols, and gels (PLAGs) in their cabin baggage.

Quantity Limitations

The quantity in the cabin baggage must not be in excess of 350ml for powder (the size of a small can of coke) and not be in excess of 100ml for liquids, aerosols, and gels.

The PLAGs must be clearly packed in a clear sealable zip-lock plastic bag and submitted for screening.

PLAGs that exceed the quantity limitations mentioned will be confiscated.

Should you desire to carry PLAGs beyond the stipulated requirement, you will need to place them in your hold baggage at Check-in.

Items removed during screening

All items removed from passengers during the screening process are placed inside the designated PLAGs bins on-site and disposed by security officers in a controlled environment, upon completion of the shift. On rare occasions, confiscated items are logged in a register together with the details of the passenger and given to the airline for onward carriage to the passenger’s home address.
